Harrisburg School District families, students, teachers and staff, and community members are invited and encouraged to join our Act 141 Advisory Committee for a very important discussion on school safety during our October advisory meeting. See details below.

DATE: Thursday, October 8, 2026

TIME: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm

WHERE: Marshall Math Science Academy Auditorium @ 301 Hale Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17104

  • Come out and hear from the District’s Director of Safety & Security on how the District prioritizes school safety and security.

  • Attendees can provide feedback, share concerns, ask questions, and collaborate on ways to help make our schools safer.

  • This is not a town hall, nor a School Board meeting. However, two School Board Members are appointed to serve on the Act 141 Advisory Committee.

  • Act 141 Advisory Committee Meetings are open to the public. The October 8th meeting is open for in person and virtual participation.

  • The Zoom link will be available on our Facebook page and at www.HBGSD.us.
